Question Replacing missing/worn trailer numbers

An AS trailer we are considering buying is "missing" the numbers you usually see on the front "forehead" of seemingly every older AS. Is this ok? Should we get replacement numbers? Where do we get them from? What happens if we don't get replacement numbers? The trailer in question is a 96 Excella.

You could also buy them at a local hardware store, if you just want to pretend you are in the club without paying the dues. It might cause some club members to start a conversation with you which could lead to embaresing questions on which local you belong to. It also might keep some club members from trying to recuite you to join the club, since you will be what they call a "baldie" (non-club member) once you take the numbers off with a hair dryer and a plastic scrapper.
