re-clearcoat

we have a couple of 1970 airstream trailer where the clear coat is totally gone i have now removed all the laquer now and the metal is good and I'm wondering if its possible to respray the clear coat to get it back to its original look has anyone done this all advice welcome Thanks

P&S Trailer Service is one place that I know can do it, but be prepared for sticker shock. IIRC it was going to cost over $7,000 for my 1975 31'. I decided to stay with APB (Airstream Pattern Baldness) for the time being.

I choose blind the lld mirror shine and let them wear sunglasses which is a personal preference.

Original poster is in England. I have not idea who does plasticoat over there. I am not sure car clearcoat will stick to aluminum.

New members in Lancs: you would be better off investing how to shine the surface. It can be done in from just a mild shine to high-gloss mirror, depending on equipment and energy available.

Many threads here to read about polishing...
