Smile Paint to use for AIRSTREAM letters?

Hello ALL! About to try and paint my exterior AIRSTREAM letters. Couple of questions.

1. What paint should I use? Where to buy?

2. Should I remove them to do it or pain them while on the trailer and tape up around it?

3. Also anyone know where to purchase Napier Removeall 220 these days?

Thanks Everyone, I read every day and really enjoy everyone helping everyone out!

If you take a look at post #499 of our renovation thread listed, we explain the process of a nameplate restoration. It is meticulous, so yes, I would remove it and pop rivet it back on when finished and seal the rivet mandrel holes.

Hey Bubba L, Thanks for responding. I hate having to ask but I cannot find that 499 post no matter how much I search or dig thru the renovation thread? Any chance you could paste a link to it? Sorry I know it's a user error!

Looks like it is discontinued in US & Canada. Besides, when we tried the Napier RemovAll 220 we did not think it worked very well at all! I much preferred Citristrip or the nasty Aircraft Stripper stuff (but it look like this may be discontinued too) better for getting the job done.

Here's a direct link to Post #499 Bubba is referring to. I also painted our signs...here's a link to my Post #341. I used Rustoleum 'Royal Blue' sparay paint...

Although both of our posts are regarding '50's signage and your signage is different on a '73 - the process is similar. I agree, much easier to do "OFF" the trailer...although folks have done it "ON" as well.
