Nose Art

Just curious, how many streamers here have nose art on their rigs? I just dropped off my design with the local truck sign shop so they can make the vinyl lettering for Amelia. I'll be on a business trip most of next week, but it will be ready for pick up on Friday!

Not yet, but someday.... So what do you have planned? Let us know the process and of course, pictures. Here's one I like: http://www.airforums.com/forums/memb...ster-1760.html

I love the P-40 style shark teeth! Here's the design layed out on a metalic background. It's going to go under the openable front windows of our Base Camp. I should mention that we have the red interior, and my wife has gone nuts with all things red! The size is 4.5" high, 10" long.

Amelia Airstream. I like that, has a nice ring to it. Cool graphic, too.

Did you do the art work yourself or did they do the layout for you? I want to do one for our golf cart and Airstream but can't find the exact art work I want. I know what I want, I just don't have it in hard copy and I haven't been able to find someone in our suburban community that can produce it for me. They can scan it for me if I can give them the original.

Saw this on yahoo today. Not an AS, but worthy of a look. Is this art?

Yup, It is 'sitting' there at a Vintage Trailer Rally we attended. The 'arty' appearing folks that travel with it described themselves as, "We are carny people." They are regulars to the 'Burning Man Festival' in Nevada each year. Who of you can recognize the make of the coach?

Neil and Lynn.

I just did a quickie layout in CorelDraw and saved it as an eps file for the sign shop. They have a printer that prints in 6 colors on vinyl (expected life of 3 years in full sun before major fading). They also have a machine that will cut out the oval based on the design. If I had to cut it myself, it would be REAL ugly...

If you need some help with the layout, shoot me a PM. I'd be happy to try to help you out.

Rusty - That's not art. I'm not sure WHAT it is, but it sure don't look like art!

It is a Spartan. I can't tell what length / model. Looks like one of the shorter versions. The Manor or Mansion.
I should know, I have one.

Sorties 'flown',

Nose Art...moved down the side to open area.
Still need to add name under legs.
Flag is not painted on, it flaps as we travel.

And the Tail Art...

We use a GREAT guy for all of our art. He does fantastic artwork, can put it on vinyl, and is reasonable. Email me for contact info. By the way, he did the artwork for my husbands vintage trailer/runabout business- they are so COOL. (and just happen to be for sale on ebay under the seller hollyrat88-sorry, had to slip that in!)

Are you in the Metro-Atlanta area?

Also, I did a search on e-bay and couldn't find anything by "hollyrat88". I'd like to see the artwork.

I actually am planning on doing a make-up on my trlr making it look as if it was an old B-52 bomber. I have some good girl art (laminates) being done for the side, and stamps (of cars I destroyed, or maybe animals run over) for the front!
