North Georgia Aero Stream?

Would love to get my 1999 Excella exterior redone..stripped and clearcoated. A fellow Airstreamer mentioned that he heard of a place in Georgia and sure enough there is?

It seems not to be too far from Helen, GA and that location would be great for us right after Xmas.

Any info about these guys would be very helpful.

There's a company in Helena, Ohio, (P & S Sales) that strips and refinishes Airstreams.

I can help just a little...
To be fair, I have not worked with or interviewed the individual in N GA. I did ask other AS club owners about their restorations. One had used Aero and liked the work and location (convenient) but not the custom curtain work. (The first recomendation from this person was to use P&S trailer Service.) I was also given the names of other locations to consider. The name that was referred most often was P&S. So I called and talked to Steve Ruth - great guy and honest family business. Helena is a long way from Atlanta but zero regrets. I had a restoration performed and polishing. My 1972 safari was just appraised, and the appraiser couldn't say enough good things about the quality of the work performed. I took my camper up to Ohio at thanksgiving and picked it up early April 2016 in order to avoid the snow...it still snowed! They've been polishing since 1964 and have the staff, resources and knowledge needed for extensive airstream repairs. I did not select the clear coat. Whoever you select, polishing is more than a filthy job, there is some "art" to the process. Good luck on your investment!

We had P&S refinish our 1975 AS in 2011. We still get complements on the finish. I highly recommend them.

so this seems to be the Airstream seller across from the Apple Barn on the way into Ellijay. They have been selling trailers for some time now, often having 5 or 6 for sale. My guess is that for polishing if the price is ok, they would be fine. This is usually an expensive process. You pay by the foot.

If you are serious about wanting a great polish and finish on your AS, suck it up and drive to Helena OH to P&S. We tried to do it ourselves, up on scaffolding with unfamiliar tools, and us in our late 60s then. I looked down and thought one fall and the hospital bill would have paid for this. P&S has done a lot of work for us. They do this every day, one after another. They have more experience in doing it right the first time than maybe even the factory (maybe). Go to Helena and leave it with them. We got our 1990 29' Excella done in 2012 or 2013 and people constantly stop us to complement us on our beautiful AS and ask is it new. You don't want 2nd best so hitch up and go to Ohio.

There are a few good polishers in GA.
No need to drive out of state.
But be prepared to spend the money.
