Has anyone come up with rattle can match for the tongue and bottom panel charcoal gray??

I am not sure on the color, but my exp on a SOB was that a spray can (I think that's what you mean by a rattle can) didn't really work well. We bought some Rustoleum in a can and applied it with a fine brush after sanding and priming. It lasts a very, very long time. I would think that if you bought enough gray for the project and a very small black, you could blend the color to get it very close. You'd just want to get a bit more than you needed since reblending from eye can produce different shades.

just did mine, the dupont number is: dupont centari 44146A

about 20 bucks a can, perfect match.

they also have regular silver and plasticote in rattle cans.

might save a few bucks if you buy a pint from an auto body supply shop and spray it on yourself if you have the equipment.

although i could have used my binks gun, i didn't because i just needed to touch up a couple of places.

the rattle can was fine, one was just enough to do the tounge and tool box.

I used a high temp aluminium paint from an auto store and then used a benjamin more clear coat both came in rattle cans and the finished product looks great.

For about $3 from Wal-Mart or Auto stores, I use spray cans of
DupliColor T183W gray on the hitch and lower body. This is an excellent match on my 1988 Excella. On the steel, I wirebrush any rust, treat the rust with phosphoric acid and leave overnight, then brush coat with Rustoleum light gray as a preventative base coat. I leave this for a few days to get rid of the incompatible thinners, and then spray with the Duplicolor T183W for decorative effect. I'm very pleased with the result, and its still good after 3 years. Good luck. Nick.
