So I got a small ding in the Airstream during a storm. I had a guy come out and remove the ding. The good news is the ding is completely gone. The bad news is, it took off some of the clear coat, maybe 1/2" x 2". I ordered the Airstream clear coat pen. My question is, how long can I go without the clear coat before bad things start to happen like color changing or oxidation?
I use a small bottle of automotive clearcoat touch up paint. I didn't like the pen. I clean up the area by a firm application of automotive cleaner/wax, followed by a thorough cleaning with auto body prep solvent.

Used on multiple locations... corrosion stops.. follow prep steps. Can't recover all the metals.. or corrosion damage, of course.. but this is a great maintenance option.. at least for us. It is used in lots of industrial applications... can be sprayed over most any paint, or coating. It has an interesting 'history' as well.. Check the site: https://www.nyalic.com/
