Clearcoat Touchup??

When the previous owner of my 97 Excella removed his WCBBI numbers the clearcoat came off with them.

So my question is, how do I reapply the clearcoat to the areas where the numbers used to be?

Steve,
It's not easily done. Airstream dealers sell an aerosol can of clear coat touch up but I don't think it's much different than acrylic you can buy anywhere and it's won't look the same. It's better then nothing and will help the area from spreading. One thing you could do is join the WBCCI and cover most of the area with your own numbers!

Hey, check with WBCCI to see if the old numbers are still available! The barely visible outlines of our numbers were still there on our rig, so we inquired and got the same.

I had the same problem, When I joined WBCCI the old numbers were 3836 so I requested 13836 to be my new numbers,And they were available so everything worked out well,
