Clearcoat touchup
I imagine this has been covered, and recovered, but bear with me. I see in the Airstream.com website, they have a clearcoat "Touchup pencil" .....Have any of you used it,and what have been the results?
I've got a couple of small spaces, (less than an inch) that I'm starting to see a bit of corrosion. I've got that stopped with Corrosion X, but what's the best way to seal it?
Thanks for you help.

I've used it. It's as good as any other TU paint I've used.

I use automotive clear coat touch up. Spray can and touch up bottle with brush. Cleared my wheels and any thing else on the trailer I thought might show corrosion.

I have used it, and like it. It has very fine tip (push it against the surface to release the clear coat) to touch up tiny nicks, or you can spread it quite wide. A touch-up brush would leave a wider swath, it that's what you need.

I will also be looking for the clear coat touch up. I've used the pen AS sells and it is fine, but now mine is all dried up. I'll probably check out some local auto parts stores and dealerships for the pen. I think someone mentioned a while back that they found it at a Ford dealership.
I guess if I needed other stuff from JC I would just have them throw a clearcoat pen in the box too.

Just a tip offered for any of the bottles of TU paint with a brush. Most have a blunt cut bristle end. I have found if I clean off the new brush with appropriate solvent and carefully trim the end to a tapered angle cut, I have much better control of the paint application. FWIW.

I have just had the pen delivered. I have spot over entry light and a few small on the roof. On the roof the largest size 2x5" the edges around it is not frayed, or peeling. Do I just fill in the area with the pen?
