Washed the exterior last night for the first time since our last trip and discovered that scratches in the clearcoat up high on the roadside. Tree branches is my guess. These appear to be superficial . . . not all the way through the clearcoat. Does anyone have a recommendation for a product to use? Is a good cleaner wax like McGuiars (sp?) OK, or is there something better.
Airstream recommends Walbernize products. Try are avaliable either through Airstream or at AirstreamDreams.com
We don't use it because we have stripp-ed our clearcoat and are in the process of polishing it, but have seen the results on newer trailers and they look great! Some folks here can probably give better first hand experience with it...

Mike,
Use the Walbernize Super Seal product on your vintage of trailer. I have had a few of those marks and the Super Seal pretty much made them disappear. Keep in mind though that if the finish is scratched the Super Seal will not repair these. It just hides them.
