Clearcoat peeling

Hi everyone,

My 1987 325 MH has a spot were the cleacoat is peeling away. As the rain and elements get to it, it keeps growing.
I don't plan in doing any stripping so I'd just like to keep this from spreading.

Our new to us 08 Classic had some minor clear coat battle damage from the previous owner.

Picked up some clear coat in a spray can online. Viola as they say...hard to spot anymore.

Try so #000 steel wool, working in a straight line, then shoot it with a rattle can of clear, box stores sell these.
