Black bottom banding

Has anyone had experience painting the lower black base banding on a motor home? Mine is an 87 and well used over the years. A local paint shop recommends using a non sanding primer and a fast dry top color, followed by clear coat for long protection. Is this a job for my back yard or do you recommend taking my baby to a real paint shop? At 30 feet long and 11 feet high it's real hard to go to a shop where it will fit indoors. Also, if a shop is recommended how much should it cost? This band is about 80 feet long and about 2 feet wide. I have a picture attached
