Hello,
I am in the process of prepping my 1972 22' Argosy for new paint. I'm doing a total exterior restoration. 2 questions... I'm lookin at going back with a Airstream (silver) paint. Does anyone know what specific color would match most closely?
Also, the exterior is totally stripped. Do the seams need to be caulked/sealed before painting or will the new paint do the job?
Many thanks
Lex

Here is the formula Andy gave me when I asked what they used to paint an argosy silver.
Dupont base coat clear coat system
1qt 814
15 oz 150
30 oz 175
64 oz 7175
1oz 259
This was applied on top of a flexible primer, at the rate of 2 to 3 double wet coats, followed by 2 to 3 double wet coats of clear.
