Airstream Original Trim Paint Color

I am restoring a 1960 Airstream '18 footer' to as close to original as possible. This trailer has some window trim and rain guards, bumper and hitch painted what looks now like a faded grey. The paint that hasn't been exposed to sunlight looks either very dark grey or black. Does anyone know what the original color was?

Welcome to the forums and congratulation on your first post.
As far as I know the window trip and drip trip should all be unpainted aluminum. The hitch was a silver/gray. Here is a link to several pictures that might help:

Welcome to the forums!

I think everything is aluminum in color except for a tiny bit of Airstream Blue on the banana belt and the Airstream logo on the trailer. You might check out the archives at Vintage Airstream...

Anyone know where you can buy a pint of the Airstream Blue? I want to repaint the 'Airstream' nameplate letters, etc....I guess there's always the MotherShip HQ's...

Rustoleum "Royal Blue" is as close as most have been able to get. I used it to restore my nameplates, and they turned out great.

Thanks Richard. The trailer has never had any work done on it and the paint looks so old and faded I am having a hard time imagining that it isn't original. I do recall seeing one trailer with painted trim (other than Airstream blue) many years ago, so I think I'm on the right track. I have a few 'posts' on other Airstream sites and am hoping someone can give me a definitive answer.
