I know how much you guys LOVE a challenge. These pictures were sent to me today with the below message. Personally, I don't have a clue. The construction certainly does not look "Airstream" to me.
1947 Dodge Fisherman, possibly 1 of 20 made by Airstream in 1949-50.
To me, that just does not resemble an Airstream creation. The 1948-50 units I've seen all have large flat sheets of aluminum rather than that pattern of aluminum siding. It almost looks like a food vendor truck. Also, the front is basically flat. Not very aerodynamic! I don't think Wally would have approved!
Here is the latest info from the person that sent it to me.
No, it doesn't have any name on it.
The guy said he got the info from DMV when he registered it and that there were 3 registered in the US,
2 Packards back east and the Dodge. They were supposedly all 1947 models.
There were a bunch of Airstreams at the beach, Huntington Beach, CA, and one of owners seemed to be very
knowledgeable about Airstreams, he said that the windows, sink and propane cooktop looked like Airstream.
It also has an overhead water tank that gravity feeds to the sink.
