How obsessed are your with YOUR Airstream?

After 4 years of refurbishing, recreating and simply reveling in the beauty of our silver goddess, we wonder how many other airstream owners are as obsessed as we are with our groovy girl.

For example, do scour the Internet and RV catalogs searching for the right accessories? Do your spend hours every weekend cleaning, re-organizing and finding new projects to work on in your AS? Are you always amidst 3 - 4 project simultaneously with 3 - 4 more looming in your brain? Is your house a wreck, but your AS is always tidy, packed, and ready to go?

Or are we the only AS owners that are this nerdy?

What's your story?

"aluminitus"... You've got it! No cure. But it can be controlled by spending time with your trailer. Most of us just have to get in and GO! Before it goes away. Giving a tour of your unit to someone that just asked "Do they even make these things anymore?" helps a lot.

Just a little obsessed...more 'proud' is the word. People still get an exclamation mark over their heads when they walk up on us. And they marvel at how shiny it is.

i think for us we are elated to finnally have a unit that is a pleasure to travel in.the comfort is as if i brought the house with me.plus everywhere i go it is a definite conversation piece.most people that know me always ask about the airstream before we continue about the wife the kids and the dog.i think the obsession is more with people that want an airstream, that for whatever reason cant pull the trigger.of course my goal when time permits is to really get use out of this trailer and be a good caretaker for the next owner.i think this trailer will be around for along time.

RedhawkerII, your AS is a beauty. The polish job on it is phenomenal. We're just about to start on ours. Any tips that you'd care to pass on to the novices? Thanks!

We're a little obsessed, must admit, but proud of it.

Keeping it neat, tidy, well-organized and beautiful on the inside is my job. Doug prides himself on a hand wash/wax and outside detail of the exterior after every long trip. People are always asking us if it is brand-new---no, it just looks that way!

....In addition I would like to add the fact that our AS has given a reason to dream about the future. It's a gift that comes with the package. Airstreams have so much of an American appeal...... try this, and then think about your Airstream...
