a funny a had to post here. (rv related)
When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police arrived at the scene to find an ill man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline and plugged his hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges, saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.
to any mod: feel free to fix the typo "a funny a had" to " "a funny i had" thanks :-)

Ricky,
I hate to pee on your campfire, but that's an old URBAN LEGEND.
If he put a hose in the SEWAGE and opened the valve, he shouldn't have to siphon anything, would he?

Sometimes things we do make others laugh like crazy. Yesterday, I started dismantling the receiver setup the PO had welded to the rear frame area. C channel was welded from the bottom of one frame rail to the other. A receiver tube was then welded on top of it. 2" wide steel strap was welded to the tube, bent around a large PVC pipe holding the sewer hose and then a hole was drilled through it and into the top of the aluminum bumper. I had an aluminum receiver bracket made to mount a 75th Airstream Anniversary license plate which fit into the receiver tube.
I decided to go through the trailer to pull out anything that I considered extra weight and I didn't need. You know, boxes of extra rivets, 2 rivet guns, an extra first aid kit, parts from the '77 Excella vacuum brake system, etc. The bumper configuration caught my eye so I looked it over. It looked simple. Unbolt the 3/4" bolt holding the strap to the bumper, a 3/4" horizontal cut on the street side C channel, a 3/4" cut vertically next to the frame and the same thing on the other side. Simple enough. In the middle of wrestling with the 1/2" drive with 3/4" socket and 3/4" box end wrench just under the top lip of the bumper---I started feeling pain in my right forearm about 6" up from the wrist. As soon as I saw about 8 red wasp I knew I had been had. I was only stung once but he did a number on me. I dropped the socket wrench and ran inside looking for the vinegar and baking soda which helps take away the pain. Out of vinegar so used pickle juice to make a paste of the baking soda. After a few minutes it was out to the trailer to fight back with wasp spray. They had a nest inside the rear frame rail. I got about 6 of them. I waited about 20 minutes and started back to work keeping my eyes open. Darn, why is my ankle hurting so bad? I stopped working the socket wrench, stepped back to observe another wasp stinging me through the sock on my right ankle. All I could think about was knocking him away to stop the pain. You guessed it, I hit my ankle with the 1/2" socket wrench. I'm working on the outrigger behind the rear wheel today in preparation for welding the new one in next week. My wrist is red at least 8" up my arm and my ankle is swollen. Darn wasps.
