We're camping this weekend! I can't wait. This is the longest we've gone without since we got it put together enough to sleep in. There's supposedly a full campground at the parish park this weekend and we're ready to go!

We just returned from Natchez State park and Dolly did great. We hope to get new tires and the propane system complete before the rally but basically, Mrs HiHo has said we are bringing the Overlander instead of the 34'er. Now I have a huge to-do list that starts with Polish... ;0(
Cross your fingers for good weather (we have no Airconditioning...)

I think Janet is the mod who dose all the Rally art work, I know I saw a thread praising her efforts and I agree.

Surf and turf! Works for me. I had talked to rich last weekend and he had mentioned collaborating on some ribs. I'll talk to him this weekend and see if we need to amend that to add some brisket to the mix.
In other news...we were to set off to S Louisiana for a spring break tour with the kids, and then this happened.
Argh! Kinda hard to drive when the wheels don't point the same direction. Luckily, extended warranty to the rescue! I never buy those things, but this time I did, and it paid off! Hopefully by Monday we're setting off to Acadiana and Cajun Country.

Okay schedule time.
This is a real laid back rally, we pretty much have the days free to wander, kayak, bike ride, and just fellowship.
Here we go
Thursday night:
For those of you who come early (last year it was almost everyone) we'll have standard grill fare, burgers, dogs, chips, brews, sweet tea, etc. we'll push that to seven pm for late arrivals and ill host that at my trailer.
Friday night:
Meet and greet/happy hour. Finger foods, dips and such. We ought to have that around 7:30 until
Saturday night:
The big potluck dinner at Six PM. Surf and turf is on the menu
Sunday morning:
It has been suggested, and I agree, that we may want a breakfast potluck. What's too early? 8:30 or 9:00 Sunday morning.
