To work on laser show? Do I take it to mean you have business in the area on Thursday? Maybe you can put the show on for us at the park?

When I made this rally I apparently didn't realize that we are north of N.B. by about 15 miles. Unfortunately this was the only park with space available. With this distance, we will likely eat at wurstfest for dinner. I am contemplating taking the stream up to the park tonight to maximize good times tomorrow.

All hooked up. Quick showers and we will be on the road. Looks like about a 4 hour ride on the back roads. (Where Airstreams are at home) (-;

Ok,
Got the trailer dropped off, truck unloaded, lunch consumed, and a shower....time to type. The Rio Raft Resort was a very nice park located right on the river. It was quiet and was laid out so there was a large yard space between trailers (which we took full advantage of!).
Amy and I would like to thank everyone who came out to join us for the event this past weekend. I never thought on a month notice that we would get the kind of turnout we did. We had 12 trailers join us for the entire weekend. Chris (Westfalia) joined us for Friday night fun with his oldest daughter and his WV Bus, and Steve H who spent the weekend working at a local sailing regatta joined us in his Casita. Warren (Pileus) had to cancel his reservation, but stopped by for a few hours to talk and have a snack (Thanks for the food you left Warren!).
Special thanks to several other members:
Frank and Mike..THANK YOU for stopping in Austin to get that Espresso maker.
Joe..thanks for showing Amy how to use it with no manual..and all the stories last night.
Rich...thank you for bringing the LED lighting and entertainment.
Espresso drinks? Laser show? Movies? Yes indeed! We had two trailers acting as the rally Starbucks. Rich brought an special event laser show, an LCD movie projector, and an incredible mini Bose sound system. He also strung his LED lights from Goal Zero through the trees so we had great lighting after dark.
Wurstfest was fun despite the heat and huge number of people, and the Gristmill restaurant was definitely a treat.
We cannot wait to do it all again.

Also thank you Steve and Amy from Frank and Mike. We had a great time and appreciate all the effort you put into organizing this weekend. Attached are a few photos of some of the Airstreams and the Guadalupe River which runs next to the RV park.

Had to go back? Is that why you turned left? We couldn't figure out where you were headed!

Sorry I had to spend most all of the weekend working, and couldn't visit with y'all much, but I did enjoy meeting and talking the little bit that I could.
Thanks,
Steve

Well it appears that several of us just can't stay away. Many of us from the rally will be camping Wed-Sunday next week for Thanksgiving. Being transplants away from our family, Amy and I were talking about Turkey day at the rally with RichHog about camping. Joe and Rachel as well as Abbie and Colin wanted in as well, and lcurrie is also in.
The greatest part is that the park owners always have a big party on Thanksgiving and provide turkey and ham for staff and guests while asking everyone to bring a side. A potluck Turkey day dinner...sure beats cooking a huge meal for just 3 of us. Joe and I are discussing a crayfish/shrimp boil on one of the other nights as well.
Should any loners or streamers with no plans have interest in joining, please feel free to let me know.
