Penn Wood Airstream Park, a non profit independent campground located in the Pennsylvania Wilds, announces its first Oct-Trailer-Fest, Columbus day weekend 2014! Dates are October 9 thru the 13, or any part thereof.

OPEN to any Airstream whatever with current legal license plate.
OPEN to any current Tin Can Tourist member regardless of make or model or rig. All unit must be self contained. Showers are on site.

This is a good time to plan your Trailering schedule for 2014!
Come camp in the glory of Fall Foliage, in the mountains of the Pennsylvania Wilds, and party in the finest Octoberfest fashion!

Bring Your Bicycle !! Guided Local riding tours will be an exciting way to see fall colors!

Prizes, Seminars, Live Music, Dancing, Biergarten & Bonfires!
Catered and onsite prepared feasts
Fees to be announced.

Limited to 75 Units! All get 30 Amps!
Propane sold on site. Free open WiFi!

Penn Wood Campground is located 4 miles south of Exit 64 off of Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania; about one hour's drive east of the Ohio State Line.

Wow, confused and happy... First is was an awesome rally called Fall Colors Rally. We went to all of them and it was a yearly highlight. Carl and Dave put on an awesome rally. I cooked breakfast for all but one of them...

Then it became a WB event hosted by some mysterious PennWoods guy with no first or last name. BUT NOW, it is open to all again! Yeah! It is firmly on my calendar...

Dates for the event are 9 October - 13 2014 (Columbus Day Weekend)
School will be out-- Bring the Kiddies!!

Initial Interest has been very strong! Be ready 15 April to register as we may sell out!

Alex , we plan on coming hope it is a sell out but not until we get our spot. Shinim wants to know about the schedule of events, is the kitchen available?
She is volunteering for a small Asian cooking demonstration if the event calendar is not full. She would be cooking everyones favorite Korean Noodle dish.

Cooking and cocktails for tail gating and RV happy hours

Guided bike tours on local Pennsylvania Rail to Trails route viewing the Fall Colors
Tour to see and hear the Elk in season!

CAMPING ESSENTIALS!! DO NOT FAIL TO BRING THE FOLLOWING:
At least 25 feet of water hose and a Y connector. BE SAFE and bring More than 25 feet of water hose. Someone always forgets to bring one, and you can be their new friend!
A 30 AMP electrical extension cord. Your electric cable that came with your trailer MAY NOT REACH! Be prepared with an extension cord you can run your whole rig with.
That means a big FAT cord and not just a regular extension cord. Again if you have two, bring ‘em both.

If you fail to bring the above, you may have to go the local Wal-Mart and hope the guy ahead of you didn’t buy the last one. Be prepared! You have been warned!

Event fee: $160 per couple, $65 per additional person over 15, under 15 FREE W/ 2 adults paid.

What it costs: Event fee + Camping fee (see below)

Water & 30 AMP Electric ( 2 dump stations close by) @ $25/night
For this event NO 50 amp service is available.

The Boondocker’s Wagon Wheel @ $15 / Night

( Fill with fresh water yourself upon arrival. After that, get your own from close by taps. No electric hookup. Dump stations close by. Please! No generators in the Wagon Wheel.

If you wish to boondock and really MUST operate a generator, we’ll establish a generator section@ $15/night. NO generators may run from 10pm to 7am on Penn Wood Property

Just looked at the dates...unfortunately overlaps another annual Halloween camping trip that we already have planned and paid for the site. Bummer we will miss this one at Pennwood. Looks to be a lot like the Fall Colors rallies of a few years in the recent past which were really great.

Happen to be looking for Columbus Day weekend destinations and stumbled upon this thread. Likely old news for many, but thought I would share that this event has been cancelled according the website

Oct-Trailer-Fest 2014 is unfortunately CANCELED due to circumstances beyond our control. Any checks from prospective attendees that have been mailed in will be returned by US mail to the sender right away. No checks have been deposited.
Please enjoy Penn Wood Airstream Park this fall on your travels. The park is open for camping in every way, only the event is canceled. No further information is available for Oct-Trailer-Fest
