Points
The park covers H & I 5. The town is only population of maybe 500. No red lights, just two four way stop signs, and one yield. Here is a JPEG of where it is.

Entrance
There is an entrance on either side....just pull into the parking lot, and we'll come over to greet you, with directions on where to park.

Big Playground. ½ mile walking trail around the park. Rally electric and water. Nice Pavilion w/ two bathrooms and a fully functional kitchen.
Come empty as there is no dump station. I have a dump tote – dump station is ~ 5 miles away in either direction but I am not sure they are open on Sundays.
Bring your "Y" for water and an extension cord. If I can work it in, I'll get my old Restored Farmall Super A over with one of my dad's ride wagons for a wagon ride too!

What the best way to go once past Albany. I remember 88 being very rough the last time out that way. Looks like the choice road is 20 but cann't see if it's a real slow road with lots of red lights and 45mph areas.

88 is good
We travel 88 and the road is all good. Come on that to Oneonta, and then take Exit 13 "Morris" SR 23. Take a right at the bottum of the exit, and take Rt 23 to Norwich, ~25 miles. In Norwich, at your third stop light, make a right onto Rt 12. Go about 4.8 miles and you are in No. Norwich. Stay on 12 until you see the Fire House, turn left right after the firehouse and then left again and you are there. There are 4 parked at this time on Wed night.

Yeah, Rob did the same thing to me while he was at the Cherry Blossom Rally. Just say "no."

Yeah but, 65GT is a lot closer to the Pagent of Bands than you were to the Cherry Blossom.

That was us right there in that clear spot. We had a Band with singer, a chicken BBQ, and we all got coupons for free polishing at Colins House. I'm glad we went. Added more good people to the "camped with you in ..." list.
Rob has some really cool aluminum stuff....
We are now home. Looks like it rain very hard here as my garden is flattened.

Some photos
Well, we had around 16 trailers present with one motorhome stop in on saturday afternoon too! Here are a few pictures. It rained all day on Saturday and so we moved Saturday evening dinner into the old school (the current town hall). The 15 piece swing band with singer played for 3.5 hours for us, and the attendees even moved some tables and danced some. It was great! Next year I'll have a wood dance floor. So, hopefully, more will come next year - put it on your calendar - centered around the first weekend in June for the 58th annual POB and the 3rd Annual POB Rally.

If you want pictures why not get to the rallys and take them?
These trailers have wheels on them for a reason and any rally in the rain is better then sitting at home. We had a great time and Rob worked hard to give us lots to do.

I'm liking the fact that the first trombone player has an unlabeled bottle of wine discreetly tucked under his music stand. He's ready to party!!!

Oh yeah!
Bottle of wine, well that is the WDCU motto! These guys played over when they were supposed to quit.... they loved the shiny aluminum trailers. The singer, Becky O'Keefe, sang her heart out, and was enjoyed by all! I moved the picnic tables after a few of her songs, and we all enjoyed the dancing into the night. They played until around 9:45 pm, when we moved the fire pit over near the pavillion, where we sat around until about mid-night. Yes, it started raining a while after the band stopped. Our early Saturday morning Canoe trip was cancelled (it was pouring and windy) but the 65 Caravel and 67 Safari were up for the slight drizzle in the Pageant itself. While pulling through the crowd (and there was one watching), I heard many times..."They don't make them anymore" and "Those are the really expensive campers" and "I really really want one of those" and the " Look at those!" was pretty cool hearing. Here is what was read as we pulled through the judging area -
"Here we have the Washington DC Unit of the WBCCI – the Wally Byam Caravan Club International. The WBCCI is the official club for Airstream enthusiasts, one of the world's largest trailer & motorhome organizations composed of one make of recreational vehicle, the Airstream. This is the WBCCI’s 50th year of existence. Do they still make Airstream’s? They sure do! This year, Airstream turns 75, home based out of Jackson Center, Ohio. Interesting note: The current President and CEO of Airstream is Morris’ own Bob Wheeler, who coincidentally, marched in the Pageant of Bands from 1980 to 1983. The WBCCI is rallying this weekend in North Norwich at the Galena Park, hosted by The Baker’s of Plymouth. There is an open house tonight for the public to tour the Airstreams, from 4-6pm. So come on down and see an American Icon – the Airstream!
On Saturday afternoon, we had a great open house, even in the drizzle...and then a chicken BBQ dinner made by our local Firefighters. Sunday, we awoke to a nice Pancake breakfast with all the NY State syrup (made by a cousin of mine) put on by my Uncle who had his 68 Sovereign at the Rally complete with my Grandfather's Leg-O-Matic chair. It was a good time had by all! I hope to see more of you all there next year too.

Thanks Rob!
Your photos are great. You are really lucky to have such a great place for a rally! I know you are really busy this summer (just like us) , but we hope to see you at least one more time this season!!!
