We have had so dag gone much rain the trailer is on high ground surrounded by water/mud. I'm going to borrow my brothers tractor to drag it through the mud hopefully tonight when it stops raining. Maybe I can finish my work on the black, grey and fresh water tanks. I'm about 90% through installing a See-Level monitoring system I'll fix the yard later when it dries out. I'm beginning to feel like a duck. Quack, Quack!

Sadly
IT appears we will not make D&B this yr. I have not had time to even turn the key in the lock yet. It kinda looks like the middle of May before we are able to go anywhere and then it will not be far with the price of Desiel @ $4.00 bucks rite now.

Reservation available

Hey guys, we can't make it to the rally this year because of axel troubles but they will not allow us to cancel our reservation. Does anyone need a spot this year?? You can just pay us for the spot. Let us know

Wish I could be there this year, but I'm in the midst of moving. I'm headed back up to Maryland for a couple years and who knows after that. Still got my airstream, but have not done much to it in the last year and a half. I look forward to seeing everyone for D and B 2012

Wish you all a fantastic weekend!

Aaron, I hate to hear you guys are not going to make it this year. I'll get my wife to post plenty of pictures.

Lou and Larry, we are hoping to see you Friday!

Crazycorpsman, glad to hear you are in the states and wish you the best of luck with the airstream and the move.

Fresh tank is flushed...check. Hopefully no more complaints of residual bleach from Andrea. Fresh tank filled...check. Ready for the overnight at Jungle Jim's in Cinci Thurs. night. Ready to rally at D&B on Friday afternoon...check. Tuesday night...check. Crap, still two more workdays until we can head south.

In KY this is Derby season and along with the Derby in May comes several great events. One of these events is Thunder Over Louisville which is one of the worlds largest air shows and fireworks displays. For any attending the D and B Rally this might be a worthwhile excursion on Saturday.

Also, don't forget the fort will be open and historic Whitehall will be open for tours as well.

Arrived today

We pulled in around 3PM today. Let's say things are "moist". We were suppose to be on site 129 however about 1/3 of the pad was under water as well as the grassy area around it. We ended up with site 77, so the breakfast Sat morn will be on site 77 instead of 129. Also site 131 was worse then ours, the pad is still 1/2 under water as well as the surrounding grass. The rest of the pads in our area look dry but we didn't walk around the grassy areas surrounding them. If it stays dry, all except 129 and 131 should be fine. If someone has 131, they might consider calling the park for a change while other sites are available near our area. The park's number is 859-527-3131. Everybody have safe travels and see ya'll soon.

Oh no!!!

Good grief!! We just talked to Aaron this morning and took over the site from him since he could not make it and they would not refund his money this late. We are supposed to be on #131! Darn! Guess we will have to tackle that problem when we come in or something. We will head out on tomorrow afternoon. We will be traveling with Al and Shinim (ctdair).

How's site 166 and the playground looking? We chose our spot way over there so the kids can be close to the playground. This will be a challenge if it's all under water. Kids gotta run or they don't sleep.

We'll take a closer look in the morning at sites near the playground but when we took Ceilidh for a walk earlier we did not notice standing water over there.

I checked the weather again this morning. Expect showers on Friday from 1:00 pm on into the evening and heavy rains overnight. Probably close to 2" of rain in central KY Friday night. I don't thing there will be much campfire fun on Friday night so plan accordingly.
Last night I had to move our trailer 10 miles to my fathers farm. The county road going to our street has a low lying area. I had to take the trailer through about 6" of water. The level is now up to 10" deep. Tonight we will load up the truck and start taking a load out to the trailer.

Update

Checked all the sites on the dog's walk this morning and by the end of the day all, except 131, will be fine. There is still standing water on the paved area and around the grass on site 131. Larry and Lou, our old site 129 should be available and is in better shape but with more rain on the way, both those sites will be in water again. There is not wifi.
