Does this exist?

Hi all!

I am new to the forums and starting my research into choosing an Airstream. I would LOVE to know if there are any places where I can go and see various models old & new so I can get a real feel. Doing internet research only gives me a "general" idea. I want see!

I live in the Pittsburgh PA area. Any thoughts?

Thank you so much for the read. I am excited to be part of this wonderful community!

You can go to a dealer and see some new Airstreams, and most likely some used Airstreams, but to see all the different types from all the years, I know of no such place.

Even at the factory in Jackson Center, OH, they only have a few of the very older models on display.

To see them all will take some time, research, and travel. Welcome to the forum.

I would find a WBCCI weekend event in your area and make contact with the person coordinating the event. We have been to events where people interested in Airstreams are introduced to the group. Airstreamers are generally open to showing off their pride and you quickly get an idea of what the differences are....
Just a thought,
Bruce

Chris,

Check out this Rally.

Airstream of Western PA treated us very well when we used them for a recall.

Good Luck in your search.

I think there is an AS park very near you. There are probably several AS there at any one time. Cannot think of the name off hand. Jim

Chris, the fact that Airstream has no showroom has been a pet peeve of mine for a very long time.

They are missing a hugh marketing opportunity!

Dealers typically inventory what they (and what they think their market) will support. And generally a typical dealer has somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 units.

HOWEVER, you're near (relatively speaking) the best opportunity to visit the next best thing to an Airstream showroom. Colonial Airstream (where I just bought mine) is located in NJ. They typically inventory 80 plus NEW units. It would be WELL worth your time to visit them.

Good luck!

Definately check out a rally, either WBCCI or Forums Rally. You will find A to Z there, especially at one of the informal Forum rallies.

As an example, this past March we had 33 Streams at Alumalina, no 2 alike, and everyone eager to show their stuff.
