Yeah, yeah, and all electronic devices run on smoke. We know this because when the smoke leaks out, the device stops working EVERY time...

Naw man just put the smoke back in just ask the little electric dude "LED" lol

How do we make the s’mores?
Will there be a campfire/firepit area?
Or each family can make them using their grills?
Can I take wood with me and use this for making a firepit? Would that be allowed or a big no-no?
Many questions as this is our first camping trip!!

On second thought, this is World 2.0 where you aren't allowed to move firewood. Buy it there at the park at the park store.

All of the above is good. You will see many portable fire pits in use with imported wood.

Regarding name tags, in the past several years we’ve had folks lovingly volunteer to make a name tag with a lanyard for each person attending the rally. This year since many of you are repeat offenders at the Canopener I thought it would be a good time to either recycle your previous name tags, or use your unit name tag or be creative and make your own name tag!
If you’re a Canopener virgin, same as above, be creative out there!
Who knows, there might even be a prize for the most creative name tag
I look forward to seeing y’all in a few short weeks, (make that days now )

I know many fellow Canopenians are already there or in transit, so just wanted to remind y’all that this Canopener is a B.Y.O.N. - bring your own name tag

Partial cancellation due to father's death
Originally we were booked to be at Topsail, site 30, from Dec 31 until Jan 10, but we have just cancelled Dec 31-Jan 5th. Jon's father passed away at 97 yrs and we are unable to leave Canada until Thursday Jan 4th. We hope to get there Saturday Jan 6 in the evening. Please remove our names from the Chili helpers list and the Breakfast with Rangers.

Judy and I arrived this afternoon. Evidently a day early! My bad. The forecast is for cool weather up until NYE, then it is going to change to COLD! Bring your Woolies! There is a lot of Aluminum in the park so far with a lot more to come in as the week goes on. Lookin forward to meeting everybody. See you soon and safe travels.

I’m so sorry to hear of your father in law’s passing. At the age of 97 he must’ve had an amazing life. We’ll all look forward to seeing next Saturday and safe travels.

I've moved from Grayton Beach to Topsail site #87 and, while I'm thrilled, sorry I won't get a chance to meet egraham & others who have cancelled.
