I am about to get my newest Airstream from Tampa RV on Thursday of this week. I Sold my old airstream 25 ft. Flying Cloud 2 months ago and ordered this new one which is a Airstream Interstate Grand Tour (I had to order it). Now for my question, I went on the ReserveAmerica.com site, and reserved/paid for Site #17/Loop 100 for January 4, 5 and 6, 2018.

I then went on the actual site where the event is being held. So here is my questions:
  1. I got my reservation but the site says that loop 100 is under construction starting November 2017 to up date it. ReserveAmerica.com says if they have it to reserve, it is good. Some how I think that might not be the case. Anyone have info.
  2. Is there a fee I need to pay to someone for being a part of the rally? If so, whom?
  3. Did I go to the right place, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, January 4, 5, and 6, 2018.
  4. Is there anything else I can do to help the organizers in anyway. I live 5 miles away from Topsail Hill Preserve State Park in Miramar Beach, FL.?

Your help will be much appreciated.

A Heart Felt Offer to My Canadian friends

I belief the contractor cancelled on the loop 100 opening up sever sites and possibly the one you had. I grabbed the site 17 a few minutes ago which seen to be the only one that would fit my 24 foot 8 inch Airstream Interstate. The others available are for 20 RV's. BUT, I have a offer for you. I actually live less then 15 minutes away in Miramar Beach, FL. Last year I added a 25 ft. extension to the side of my circular drive way with a 30 Power Pole next to it. You are more then welcome to use my home facility if you for that for Thursday night. I actually live by the bay and it is quite lovely.

You are a guest in our country and it would be my pleasure to support you if it will add to your visit. Please PM me if this will help you in some way.

. . . .feeling bounced!!

Hi Gary, Your place by the water sounds lovely and we are humbled by your kind offer to stay there for the night. It was frustrating to find our original booking was cancelled but we managed to get into Grayton Beach State park Thursday night.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and thanking you in person!
All the best, . . . .Eddy, Lilian, Chris and 'Guzzi'.

N.Y.Eve

So.... it seems as though there are quite a few of us arriving on or just before New Years Eve. Any ideas as to how to ring in 2018? Just wondering if there is a central campfire site at the campsite. If I recall, Topsail does not have fire rings at each site. If anyone has any info let put it out there and see what we can set up. Not looking to add another item to the Can-Opener agenda, just a campfire and see where it goes from there.
All the best, to all the best.
Pete

There is a fire pit down by the clubhouse that we are free to use. Probably some of our musicians will set up and play a night or two. Wood would be welcome at #157 or the clubhouse area also if anyone wants to bring a bundle. If it is cold, there will for sure be a fire during the corn hole tournament.

The reservation site is currently showing two 20 foot sites available. About right for a Bambi or small Interstate.

Even a small (non-EXT) Interstate is 23 feet. There's only 16 inches of difference between the long and short models.

Woooooooohooooooo!!!! CanOpener! Most fun I’ve ever had with my camper! Might have to crash this thing in an old canned ham I picked up... it’s only 15 feet long and would fit in the teeny tiny spots that are left. Hmmmmmmmm...

Just grabbed site 20. The website said "Max 20ft" but when I looked at the photo of the site, I realized that my 23ft Airstream Interstate plus my dinky little Honda Fit toad together are shorter than a 20ft trailer and typical tow vehicle, so they should fit in the space. So I just told them it's a 20ft RV and booked the site. Arriving January 2nd, departing January 9th.

It's not chili, but would anyone mind if I bring my chicken, sausage, and bacon jambalaya to the Chili Feed? I'm not much of a cook, so when I find a dish that I can do well— like my jambalaya— I tend to stick with it. Or I could bring plain rice for people to ladle their chili over. Either way (but not both ways).

Jambalaya sounds great. Bring it on!
