Run runner- is there a plan for us early arrivals? Vicki is thinking we can plan up something!

Let us know, as Vicki can cook up ideas as well as food!

OK- here's my idea for New Year's Eve: International progressive Party: a different international dish at each stop; start time determined by number of participants, last stop at 11:30 with cold bubbly and party favors to ring in the new year.

Last minute change here, seems our previous commitment has been pushed out another month, so now we're looking for a spot. We had a great time last year and would like to attend again. If anyone is cancelling, please PM me. Thanks

We will be early arrivers on 12/31. Is there a count of who will be at Topsail that evening? I know that the clubhouse is unavailable 12/31 and 1/1 as it is already reserved by the Navarre Beach Elks Lodge.

For those that are arriving "extra extra early" to the Canopener, I happen to know there is dinner in the works for New Year's Eve (thank you Pat & Patty!). As for international, this will be from the nation of USA in the form of fabulous BBQ with all the fabulous sides
BUT, I'm loving Tom and Vicki's idea of a progressive party I'm thinking we could add a happy hours site, a dessert site and a 'Ring in the new year' with the bubbly site in addition to the dinner site at 140.
Tom and Vicki, you're on and I nominate y'all to be in charge

Annette

Going to mak a semi-educated guess of January 4-7, 2018.

Cornhole Tournament good news!

Greetings Canopeneons,
Annette talked to the park manager today and learned that the parking lot in front of the clubhouse has been paved. No more gravel and pot holes! We are hoping that we can expand the number of boards and games played at the same time. We will need 8 to 10 sets along with the bags. If you can bring a set, please sign up. Copy and paste this until we get them.
We will have a sign up sheet for players available starting Wednesday.
Thanks a bunch,
Joe.

Canopener 2017

Per Annette's earlier msg, for those that are arriving extra extra early, there apparently is dinner in the works for New Year's Eve- Pat and Patty please join in !!

We're thinking of adding to dinner and suggesting a progressive style event: appetizers, dinner, dessert, ending with a bubbly stop prior to midnight.

So first- so how many "extra early arrivals do we have? If you will arrive in time for a New Year's Eve gathering, please identify yourself and sound off with your thought!

Just a reminder for folks waiting for an opening that Topsail has cabins available if all else fails.

Hi Canopeners....
Judy and I are down in Baja this winter and had to give up our spot at Top Sail for this years Can Opener. We will miss being there as we had a blast last year. We wish everone the best of times and the very best of weather to go along with it. I will be hitting Reserve America again this Feb. to get a reservation for 2018!
All the best from sunny Baja!
Pete and Judy
