For what it's worth, preparing the name tags is a bit of an art form. You must use the RSVP page as well as coordinate with the map wizard (Red) and the boss (Annette) and read all posts to get all names correct right up to the last moment. It always works out and there are always some hand written tags prepared at the absolute last minute. And that is fine. Remember, this has been going on for 9 years, heading toward the 10th. The key is to come prepared to have a good time. Karen, thanks for agreeing to take on this responsibility. By the way, we will still be doing Margaritaville Friday around the time of the Cornhole tournament. Looking forward to Canopener 10.

Hi gang,
We have not checked in for a while but looked tonight and Reserve America is showing 20 sites still open during the Canopener. Can we please go ahead and fill this place up with Airstreams so we don't get ranger Fred in trouble? I mean it is July and only 6 months away .......... Is it due to Red that we can't fill this place up? Probably not but I just like to do the ....... thing.
Btw, we need a good PR person to coordinate the entertainment for the weekend. The stage is set up and we plan to make plenty of use out of it and the awesome talent we have in our group.
Joe the helper (not Annette)

The Canopener is coming, The Canopener is coming....
Howdy Howdy Howdy Fellow Canopenians,
We are T minus 6 months to CanOpener 2016, the Tenth Year Anniversary! And as JoeBaby stated earlier, there are now LESS THAN 20 SITES AVAILABLE, so let's fill this puppy up and make Topsail an Airstream Only park that week!
Regarding the Fun, Food, Fellowship and Festivities, we'll keep the agenda (more like a guideline... ) pretty much the same as years past:
Thursday Night Chili Night Potluck
Friday 12 o'clock high Corn Hole Tournament Showdown (along with something for a Jimmy Buffet fan)
Friday Night Open Mic Night (something new)
Saturday Morning breakfast with the ranger, or hike with a ranger, or perhaps something else........
Saturday Afternoon Open House/Trailer (a fan favorite)
Saturday Night Humongous Pot Luck Night (it's big, really big)
Sunday Morning Pajama Party Potluck Breakfast
Keep your eyes on the thread for more fabulous details to come - woohoo only 5 months and 26 days to go!
Annette, your friendly party planner

Hey guys and dolls, cats and chicks!!! It's that time! Time to get yourself all stoked up for CANFREAKINGOPENER 2016!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!
Ok, deep breath... 5 months to go. Anywho... I've got the maps as updated as the RSVP page, which still has errors and omissions. I swear, Roadtoaster deserves a monetary award for stupendous effort if he gets the name tags even close, based on what I'm seeing on the RSVP link. Please, check the map, and your name on the map. If I don't have it right on the map, it's not right on the RSVP page, and your name tags will be wrong for the event...
If you have a campground registration, and have not registered yet for the rally, please RSVP to the Rally Registration link below.
Link to the current Loop 103 Map:
Canopener 2016 - Loop 103
Link to the current Outside Loop 103 Map:
Canopener 2016 - Outside Loop 103
Link to the Rally Registration (RSVP) Page:
Canopener 2016 Link to RSVP
So, to summarize, we have a few people that have RSVP'd, but didn't list their site number or the names of members attending. Please check the RSVP page if you don't see your name listed on the map. The RSVP page is what they will make your official Canopener name tags from, so make sure you list the name of everyone in your party. Don't make me come find you...
-Red, demanding RSVP perfection...

Looks like the Flamingos are breeding out of control at site #112.

Yep, you looked wrong... You're right there in sight #45, just like it said on the RSVP page OK, I might have missed that one somehow. Well, actually, yeah, I missed it. Sorry about that, and thanks for the heads up! I was going cross eyed by the time I hit the S's...
It's fixed now. If you see any other goofs, don't hesitate to let me know...
-Red, still slightly cross eyed...

Also, my apologies to karenjude for slighting her on the grand task of organizing and assembling the name tags! She has taken the task over from Roadtoaster this year, and I hear she is a cruel taskmaster, so it would behoove you to get your RSVP information correct, or suffer the consequences... Don't even try to say I didn't warn you! When you show up to Canopener and get a Purple Nurple, don't run crying to Red!
-Red, giggling about the Nurple...

Overlooked ????
Panama Red,
Yikes, you missed us in #42 and we've been listed on the RSVP page over 12 hours already.
Being excluded just might mean my "ponies" won't be available for harness duty when your legs wear out from too many pedaled laps around the park in that rig of yorn - ha!

Normally I would only make one update a day, but if it means missing out on Barking Pony Power, I'll make an exception...
Give me a few minutes here.
-Red, one for the big dogs...

Been talking my Canopener peoples... Man, I'm so ready for this thing! Taking suggestions on a new beer to stock the Buggy Cooler with this year. Might go with the old Yeungling Black and Tan instead of the Coroni... Maybe Sam Adams Lager... Any really good micro's out there that are somewhere around these two?
And this year, a new addition, American Honey chilled... That stuff is dangerous. Sneaks up on you. Kicks you right in the nuts when you're least expecting it...
Going to be at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park from July 24 - 26th... Got a friend in a battle of the bands competition. Come out and camp, and cheer for The Wild Azalea Brothers... Hope some of y'all can make it out.
-Red, on a quest...
