Unfortunately when you are traveling you can't always choose what time you get to a city. Atlanta is doable but the biggest problem is those who know the system and have no patience for those of the who dont. From Florida i take US 441 north.

Beetlebob and I have been boondocking for the past few weeks. We would like to claim Ms. Moto’s (Hi Tommie!) spot. It would be nice to have full hookups for a few days before we go off grid again.

Bits and pieces....
FRIENDS OF RITA FAN CLUB.....Rita is loaded and ready to go. We have her first scheduled treatment with us but she will need more to be able to go the distance. She likes the cheap stuff, in green or clear. She will be at our trailer Saturday afternoon. Stop by for a visit.
RAFFLES....Calling all gamblers......we have 2 great raffle prizes this year so bring a few extra bucks. Guaranteed cheap thrills.
DOOR PRIZES.....We have many great door prizes, and every rig gets a ticket for a chance to win. Airstream Inc, John's RV (Airstream of SC), Out of Doors Mart, Airstream Life magazine, Camping World of Spartanburg, SC, and Diversified Graphics have all contributed. We will draw for them at each meal so be sure to attend, you must be present to win. Don't miss out.
FISH FRY....Saturday night's fish fry is an Alumalina favorite. Grade A white fish fillets, shrimp, devil crab, FF and HP. Our good friend Ron Rawl of JOHN'S (RAWL) RV has made the fish fry possible this year so PLEASE thank him when you see him. He will be displaying a new Airstream, answering questions, as well as bringing door prizes.
FRIDAY MORNING CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST.... Fresh baked doughnuts and coffee, made possible by 2 anonymous members of the Palmetto State Airstream Club 22. Come and enjoy.
PROPANE.....The Cove has made arrangements to have propane available at the campground. The weather forecast looks great with cool weather so the furnace might feel good in the mornings.
WINE AND CHEESE.....Skymed is treating us to a wine and cheese party Friday afternoon in the Meeting Hall. Look for the sign.

Friday night possum bog
Mr. Sandlapper,
I have good news and bad news????? The good news is we have a supply of possums. My game plan this year was to gather enough possums to feed three hundreds folks however due to the great publicity about the Alumalina Rally, we have a few more folks attending.
I have had my mountains friends up in the Blue Ridge Mts. out hunting a more grade A possums.
Now for the bad news we will come up short on the number of possums needed, so my plan is find some resources for critters near Palmetto Cove. As a last resort I may have to throw in some chickens. Sorry for the short fall on the number of possums but a ninety percent increase in attendees has caused a supply issue.
I am sure the chef and cook crew will make this Friday nights possum bog the best ever.
Sorry for not getting on the thread more often but I have been very busy trying to upgrade the possum raising operation to keep up with the Alumalina demand. I have traveled to Michigan and Ohio checking out new possum supply chains but they are small operation compared to the Blue Ridge Mountain operations.
I will be arriving at Palmetto Cove on Thursday with this years supply of possum in a 53 foot refrigerator truck and trailer. I am glad to hear Rita is ready for this year. So let the Alumalina rally start.
Remember we give a HOOT.
Big Hooter

If there is a chance to blow through Atl. at 11ish, do so. 85 North after 2 is slow. Also 2 lane expansion north of 316 is taking place for another year. 285 North still has construction near 85 North from the new stadium. From the west take 20 through downtown to 85 North.
285 is usually a joke anyway.
Going thru ATL is optimal between 9am and 2pm.
Good Luck

Not sure if anyone asked this, but wondering about connections for cell or wifi?

We got in yesterday to the Cove. There is cell service for us...Verizon...1-2 bars depending upon where you stand in the park.
Using the phones for hotspots, so we haven't looked for wifi.
All the best!

Sent from the cove via wifi. Works but park asks for some restrictions, no streaming etc.
If I want to talk to Stremn, I can walk out of trailer, knock on his door.
We're in rain delay mode.

How did everyone weather the storm at the Cove? Hope everything turned out OK and I don’t have to rescue anyone floating down stream when I get there tomorrow afternoon.
