Glad I asked! I backed through the thread and found where it had indeed been posted. My bad.
So, I just got off the phone with Kayla who was very nice and I opted for one of the paved spots in row P near the end. JIK it rains.
I hope I didn't put myself in 'no man's land', but they've had some toy haulers stuck in the middle. P-48, high and dry.

I didn't read all 340 posts so here's what I learned today by calling.
1. Noelle is no longer there, I had several people helping.
2. The rate is $35
3. I think they are swamped with not many worker bees.
4. Their computers were down for a while today.
5. After two calls to very nice folks, I got a call back from Kyla. She knew all.
6. You can Google "Tom Johnson Camping center campground" for a layout of the spaces.
7. Payment is due at the reservation.
8. They allow you to pick a space or an area. I remember S-50's being level and dry, but then remembered the paved sites too, so I flipped a coin a picked the paved site.
9. Nobody will be turned away, but it becomes harder to cruise around looking for 'that perfect site', because it may be reserved already. You're welcome to cruise, then stop at the campground office and ask.
10. I told them they need cable TV. (they do) Nobody laughed.

Here's a map of our area.
The exceptions are Handicapped, If I recall are in row A, and the other spaces below the area marked are 30 amp only?? The spaces look jammed in, but in reality, the spots are pretty big. You are back to back with someone, but it's offset so your back window might be looking at his awning, not his back window.

Thanks everyone....

.....For chipping in to help. Much appreciated.

I have all of you down on the list, and will update it very soon. A guess is that we may set a new record for attendance this year. Standing record is 225 rigs.

The weather forecast looks great. Fingers crossed. No rain, cool days, chilly nights.

Noelle has moved on to bigger and better things with Camping World. She left us in very capable hands.

Camping Word will have a check in station at the Rally Park to speed things up.

We will also have a greeter stationed there with the "Rally at a Glance" flyer to get you off to a smooth and easy start, and point you towards your site.

At the Rally Registration Table you will receive a complete Rally Packet with the Rally Booklet and everything you need to enjoy a great rally.

So..... no need to worry about what to do and and where to go upon arrival.

Just focus on arriving safe and sound, we will take great care of you.

Promise!

Counting down......

Couple questions, we are arriving early on Tuesday, hope to get in some local leaf peeping. Do we check in at Camping world?
Also for the flea market, will it be at individual sites or the pavilion? I don't know if there are picnic tables at the sites or to bring our own table. I'm assuming camping/glamping stuff is good to sell?
Thanks and looking forward to next week! -Beth

Good move to come early and check out the surrounding area, it is a beautiful neck of the woods. I have not heard the "official" leaf report but it should be good. Marion is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. "Where Mainstreet Meets the Mountains".

Yes, best to check in with the Campground. With your reservation already made, you could go directly to your site and then simply walk across the street to check in. I will be there as well so can help point the way.

The flea market/craft show officially takes place Saturday afternoon under the Pavilion, but many have their treasures set up out front of their rig all weekend. Feel free to do both. There is no sign up.

There are no picnic tables at the Camp Sites, so perhaps bring your own. There will be tables and chairs under the Pavilion.

Just over a week away!!!!!

Are daytrippers welcome?

We just bought a 1958 Pacer that we will be picking up tomorrow. Unfortunately, it won't be in camping condition by next weekend. But, since we live less than an hour away, we thought we might drive up for the day and check things out. Maybe attend some of the seminars.

Is this possible?

Absolutely, please come for the day, or longer if you can. We are happy to have you, and anyone else interested in coming for the day.

Just for kicks, if you want to, pull the PACER with you, I'm sure many would like to see it. There will be room for you out in the grass.

We would like to come in earlier than scheduled, but we can't get anyone on the phone, or a call back. I feel like it shouldn't be a problem but don't want to show up and it be one. Do you have any way to get that okayed or another way I can get in touch with them?

Add two more

My parents have been hearing about Alumalina for years.
Now they have their own Airstream and want to join the fun.

Will you please add:

Gary and Vicki

Thanks!
