Another great rally

For the third year, our hosts have outdone themselves. A great time with a bunch of great Airstreamers. Made a lot of new friends as well as reconnecting with old friends.

Cheryl and I were newcomers and really had a great time. We loved all the tips and tricks we learned and meeting all of you. Now I see why nobody else there had the 16 footer. With all the food I ate now I have to buy a bigger Stream'.

It WAS a great rally. The food was excellent. I've never had grilled salmon before at a rally, but Roseann pulled it off deliciously. Wildflowers were nice, and even spectacular in some spots. We enjoyed visiting with newcomers and old friends. Thank you, Bruce and Roseann, for enabling this rally.

Now Robin, you should know by now that neither i, nor the dogs do tricks. We are too old and arthritic.

It WAS a GREAT rally everyone!! Roseann and I thank all of you for joining us. It was fantastic to see our old friends and to make some new ones. We enjoyed everyone's companionship and food contributions. Another veritable smorgasboard of delectable dishes were offered. ALL were delicious!!

I will post some pictures this week. If anyone has pictures, please feel free to post.

Mark your calendars. The rally is scheduled for April 10-12, 2015.

Bruce & Roseann always outdo themselves - somehow bringing a lot of nice Airstream folks together for a relaxing weekend camping in the Texas hill country. Thank you both, again.

3rd Annual Easter Pollen Rally

Another great Rally. It's getting bigger and bigger every year. Other than all of our trailers turning yellow, it was tons of fun. Thanks to our special hosts Rose and I guess Bruce did something too. Not sure what yet, but I'll post if I think of something. ;-)

HEEEEEYYYYYYY!!

I pulled the trailer, I brought the charcoal and stated the fire. Without the PERFECT fire, the Salmon & chicken would not have been near as tasty!

That's MY story and I'm Stickin' to it!!!

Thank You

And a very big THANK YOU for all who contributed great food dishes, and helped with cooking, clean up, planning side trips, etc. We thoroughly enjoy putting this rally together and hope to see everyone next year!!

Just bought a new Airstream last month, but already committed to a class reunion in Llano. Hope to make this next year.

Actually I am not the president of Brazosport Birders. bwoodtx is for Bruce Wood TX. All I do is collect Airstreams and rescue Great Pyrenees dogs.

Bruce and Roseann are far too modest. It is a wonderful rally and they do so much to make even us northern intruders feel welcome. Looking forward to next year!

bwoodtx is Bruce Wood and his sweet wife Roseann, and they are the heart & soul of the Texas Hill Country Spring Rally held in April every year in Johnson City, Tx (which FYI was the home of Lyndon & Lady Bird Johnson & the LBJ Ranch & Texas White House during his administration). The rally just keeps growing with new faces and friends who return every year for the fun of being together & telling Airstream lies. Roseann is responsible for most of the fun, but Bruce is a great story teller and contributor to the rally's success too ;-)
