Just 48 hours from my foot surgery! If all goes according to the surgeon, I should be out of the boot at least a few days before the rally.
whitsend has kindly offered to assist me if I need help hooking up and towing there. Thankfully, we're pretty close with the trailer stored just east of Dripping Springs.

Good news
My foot is doing great after surgery. Virtually no pain. I wear a boot on that foot much of the time, but I have been driving with just a slipper on my right foot and braking with my left foot. Just the slipper around the house with care that I step carefully with the weight on my heel. Stitches come out the 27th.
I will be missing the Region 9 rally, so I am really looking forward to this rally.

Friday we are cooking Salmon and Saturday night we will cook chicken fajitas.

Alamo Springs Cafe
Also tentatively planning trip to Alamo Springs Cafe one day for lunch - they were voted #3 by Texas Monthly magazine as the best burger in the state. Thanks to Greg Ulrich for this information, and the burgers are GOOD. Plus, Greg is going to make available some scenic routes to take to get the best view of the wildflowers in the area. Thanks again Greg!!

Hi Folks!
Good Lord willing, this will be our first get-together AND our first time on the road in our new/old Flying Cloud 20. I've been looking through this thread, trying to decide what to contribute to the dinner table. Thinking about a bow tie pasta salad, whose recipe I "borrowed" from the old Café Kaldi, here in the Houston area. However, I'm open to any suggestions, showing-of-the-ropes, etc. Looking forward to meeting y'all on Friday!

We had to hang on the line quite a while, but we finally got a voice mail recording and left a message. They replied this morning. As far as I know, they still have 1-2 spots. Good luck!
