Question Window Rock Guard

I have a 1975 Tradewind. Is there a good source for a Window Rock shield? I've seen them but I am unable to find a dealer or Website???

A most superb how-to job has been demonstrated by Janet & Janet's Husband. Click the link.

One point -- Their trailer is a Minuet, narrower than yours & mine by 6", so take note of 'part 7' where you don't have to modify the center section.

Second point -- An Airstream dealer can order the part (nope, they aren't interested in doing maintenance on our vintage units!), but Andy gives good service and contributes greatly to these forums. You might just want to ask around for prices anyway. You'll probably have to install it yourself or know someone handy. (I bought mine from Andy at InlandRV.com and will be putting it on over this winter.)

Third point -- The trees are bare and winter is close in following. Bummer - bummer - bummer!!! ;-)~

Fourth but not least -- Welcome to ASForums 'balrgn' and many happy returns to this site!!

balgrn,

If you want idea of what it will look like on your 75 here are a couple pictures of my 75 with the stone guard in place and tipped up as a shade.

balrgn, Good move! When I traded for my used Airstream, several years ago, it had a battered & broken 'old-style' rock guard. I made it part of the purchase negotiations to have the dealer install a new (dark tinted) one.
That really spruced-up the outside looks of the trailer...as richardt stated, "they look cool". After many miles of use, I notice a few indications of objects (rocks?) having smacked the rock guard. So, I feel sure it has done well at protecting those front windows.
