need help with rock gaurd

Hi all, I bought a piece of black 1/16 lexan polycarb and want to install it it the old rock guard frame. Anyone have an idea where I can get the "seal, gasket" that goes in the frame to hold the lexan? Can I use some kind of grey butyl?
I know I should sprung for the new one, just trying to save $500.
Thanks, Bob
