Help with stripping window "drip caps"

Hi
We are in the process of restoring/renovating a 1967 Overlander international. We have run into our first problem. We orderded painted alluminun drip caps( yes we do know that they weren't originally on this model and year. ) Our stumbling block has been stripping the paint off. The product we have been using for all our stripping so far is not working.

We can't be the only ones who had to strip the paint off these things! What did you use?

I have included photos of the type of stripper and the drip caps.

A huge THANK YOU for any and all help!
Chris

Try some aircraft stripper. Usually available at big auto parts stores. It's nasty so use with care.

Could be powder coated?

I have just stripped the entirety of our Argosy, had 4 layers of paint, with Jasco stripper available at lowes. If you use this product make sure to wear nitrile gloves and be extremely careful not to get the product on yourself or anything that you don't want stripped. If the rain gutters have been powder coated sanding or media blasting is the only way I know to remove the finish.

Thanks for the reply, we don't have any Lowes store in this part of Canada but Jasco striper is available for purchase at Amazon.

I will be very careful with the striper, I don't think anyone wants me striped

Window Caps

This is probably too late to be of use but Airstream Supply sells them unpainted.
