Front Window Protector Tip

I recently spoke to a lady who gave me a great tip on keeping the front plexiglass stone guards looking good. She says she uses 303 on them after washing and it keeps them looking nice and that the bugs don't stick.

I thought that the stuff would smear and cause an oily film on them. I sprayed it on and used a soft cloth to wipe the extra off then went over it again with a different clean soft cloth to buff the shields. They just shine and there is no film that my eyes can detect.

I'm sure some 303 remains on the surface to help keep the bugs from sticking, but it's invisible.

It works, just as she said.

I have used a product called Plexus on plexiglas windows in other applications. It was developed by Boeing (I think?) for aircraft windshields and canopies. It is an amazing product that has preserved the hatches on our boat in an unbelievable way. I use 303 on lots of things and I am sure it works in this application but I'll be sticking to my Plexus! The only place I have found it on
the shelf is in West Marine stores.
Loving our 2021 Globetrotter 25 and our 2022 Ford F-150 King Ranch 5.0!!! Plenty of payload, not even close to axel limits and it drives and rows beautifully…

It works great on the bug deflector on your truck too. It's a bit pricey but does the job....

I get Plexus at my local FBO. I used to see it at every FBO at every little airport I'd fly into anywhere. Used to used in on plex aircraft windshields, and now on my motorcycle's windscreen. Never tried it on the glass protector, but I'll give it a go later this week. Thanksk for the tip!
