On my 2007 Safari SE there was a tiny pinhole-sized opening in sealant above the awning rail (I think that's what it's called, even though the the road side awning is installed lower). In heavy rain water would build up above that channel and leak through the outer skin, onto the inner skin, and follow down to the overlapped inner skin panel where it would run down the interior onto the bath vanity. A dab of sealant plugged the pinhole and fixed it.
Check the sealant above that awning rail, especially where any rivets fasten it, with a magnifying glass.
