We have a 2005 25FB with the east/west queen bed. I am easily able to get out at the foot of the bed without disturbing SuEllyn. We also put a memory foam topper on the OEM foam mattress at the start. As of last night, we have now slept in this bed for 1,139 nights, and it is still the best bed that I have ever slept in. We have thought about replacing it, but we are afraid that we will spend a lot of money to get something that is not as got as what we have now.

So, argument for storage +$10K vs. pulling ease.

My thought here is that you should consider the 25FB Twin. That way, you get more storage - three trunks; than a regular 25 and the ease of overhead access and increased floor space AND you save around $10K

As far as pulling goes, I do not think that the extra length, in this case would make much difference. At least that is what people were telling me when I was trying to decide between a 23' and a 25'.

We have had a 29', a 30' and a 28' rear bedroom and now a 25' FBSE and love it. We added 5 new drawers in dead space unused by Airstream. Perfect. Added two shelves in pantry.
No problem getting into side to side bed as so many suggest. I easily crawl from the bottom up to the top. It is not an issue. I still have the walk through ba which makes a wonderful "ba suite" when closed off from the living area. Added other features, dividers in ba & kitchen cabinets to keep things from moving around, took out the useless bolster behind the short bench and installed a cabinet for the zip dee chairs. Made an access door on the top of the long lounge near the dinette for easier access to that dead storage. New upgraded floor. Changed the blinds in ba to the new euro shades for better light blocking. Changed wiring to have stereo to the tv. Other mods planned.

StreamNTyme - could you post some pictures please? I'm interested in the dead space improvements.
Thanks!

I thought the pics from this trailer were in here but they are not so I will add them when we return home in about a week. The ones in here are the mods from our previous trailer.

I would also like to see pictures ofwhat you have accomplished. The 25FB is a great bargin. No wonder it's the top selling Airstream.

I am still interested in what you did to gain additional storage. There are lots of members who can benefit from your knowledge.

Last weekend I spent the day at an Airstream dealer while they replaced a panel. While there I spent some time in their dealer models. My thought to add on this "death match" is that the major difference is one- bed arrangement. Everything else, aside from some bit of extra space of counter is slight in difference.

Owned a 25FB, moved up to a 30, after both figured out the 27FB was just right!!!

LOVE the 27FB layout size and the Serinity package over the Classic which were what the 25 & 30 were....

It is all in personal preference, only by experience and travel in different rigs. You can analyze these rigs to the death.
We had a 29', 30' & 28'! Loved them all for different reasons. Now are very happy in our 25' FBSE (w modified and additional storage) !! It seems to have everything we want and need for the way we travel.

Whatever you get will be wonderful as it is Airstream!

Now after messing around the different AS models I would have to say that my first choice would be a Serenity interior but with a single window twin bed rear bedroom if such a model existed. The dealer had an "Onyx" model that was really sharp too. I still like the Flying Cloud and, of course my baby too.

The 25' FC would have been adequate for what I'm doing now, but was thinking of a full-timing future. Whether or not that happens, I have no regrets about my 27'. I like my real bedroom vs. make-do sleeping quarters.

I love the lobster sink because it is also a laundry tub and occasional hair-washing station. My biggest pots and platters are also easy to wash in this very deep sink.

However, some changes to the dinette will be done someday, i.e. one side of the dinette will be replaced with a comfortable reading/relaxing chair.

Hi, WOW! I guess my Safari has a fake bedroom. Fine thing to find out after nine years of use. Maybe I better start sleeping in my kitchen.

I have a double sink; We don't have any lobsters, and laundry and hair washing better be done in the bathroom/shower/tub. Not in the kitchen!

My trailer, bedroom (not "make-do" sleeping quarters), hair (plus feet) washing sink, and dog is better than yours.

So, take that!

How do you get along with the "make do" living room seating?

Hi, OK I'll play your game. I'll bet my hair is better than yours because at 68 years old, my hair is still naturally brown. [no artificial coloring needed] My dog is older than your dog. Dust Boo-Boo turned 16 years old in October. And my dog has more Airstream traveling miles than your dog. Dusty has about 15,000 miles so far and over 10,000 of those miles were on his first Airstream trip to Alaska. [50 days round trip] And Dusty is slightly cuter than your dog too.
