Hi All. Need some help with my trailer wheels. What year did Airstream go to tubeless tires on there steel rims. I have a 1970 and would like to go to tubeless tires. with steel rims . Has anyone tried tubeless tires on these wheels ?If I use a truck type valve stem with a nut & sealing washers would a tire seal on this rim? Any ideas opinions, thoughts will be helpful Thanks in Advance

I went to tubeless on my 1972. Only requirement was putting bead seal on standard tubeless valve stems.

Good Luck

If you have the original Airstream wheels on your trailer, then tubeless tires are not a problem.
It is imprtant that here is no rust on the bead area, and that the valve stems you are using are good for the 65lb pressure that is possible in load range D tires.
If your weels are rusty, and you want to replace them, PM me, i have a set available.
