Split rim replacement

I am scheduled to pick up my "brand new" 51 Flying cloud this weekend. It still has the split rims and bad tires. What replacement rims would fit that I could pick up at the local junk yard before making the 500 mile trip?

Thanks in advance.

If you know the number of bolts and the diameter of the bolt circle, you will be able to obtain new wheels. The original wheels on my Liner were 5 bolt and I was told that they are ford light truck pattern. Why not buy new trailer wheels rather than junk yard wheels?

This link warns about junk yard wheels:

I went to a specialist RV dismantler, and bought an undamaged wheel from an Airstream. The wheels are usually stamped with the maximum permitted loading.

I have split rims on our 54 Cruiser and I can't wait to get rid of them. They really are split, the rings I mean - cracked. Very dangerous - well, they would be if they held air.
My understanding is that there are very few places that will work on these rims because they are tricky and dangerous. I agree that it might be better to just replace with a good 5 bolt (what you will likely have) rim and have a beer.
