Pressure Pro on 2007 Safaris ?

After reading the numerous posts on tire problems I've decided to purchase the Pressure Pro tire pressure monitoring system. I checked out the cast aluminum wheels (picture attached) on my 2007 25' Safari and it appears that there is very little room to mount the Pressure Pro sensors. Has anyone with a 2007 Safari installed the Pressure Pro system on your trailer and how did you mount the sensors?

I too am getting the PressurePro tire monitoring system from Santa (I've been a good boy ) but don't have the problem with my rims that you have.

A solution for your application are valve stems made at an angle. I have seen them on trucks and they are available on line. Still, it looks like you can get the sensor on you stem. Do you have one to try on or are you asking before you purchase to be sure?

I have the PressurePro monitoring device on my tires. No problem. Unfortunately, the last flat I had unplugged it to use my GPS system. Bad decision. Thank goodness for good samaritans who honked and pointed to the tire.

I think they are the same: aluminum wheels ST 225-75 R15.

2dabeach...glad to see this question asked about the Pressure Pros, as we are considering them...and we have the same wheels.... thanks!

And there are many discussions of corrosion/filiform on the forum...try a search fpr corrosion or filiform and you will get lots of discussion to review.

TBRICH....Thanks for the information on the corrosion posts. The Pressure Pro dealer is sending me his demo sensor that I can try to mount on the wheel. As Pressure Pro seems to prefer metal valve stems, I'm going to check with a local tire shop and see if I can get metal valve stems with a bend that will allow the installation of the sensors. Will update as I get additional information.

We are loading Santa's sleigh as we speak and it's getting pretty full. They are the best product of the decade. We're not allowed to advertise anything other than MSRP but a call never hurts. I need an emote with my arms crossed, finger on chin and whistling.

2dabeach...let me know if the angled valve stems are necessary. I've been told that they are OK on rubber valve stems..if so, I think I'll wait to replace them when I need new tires...

68 Overlander...are the sensors OK on the rubber valve stems (assuming they fit on non-angled stems with these wheels)?

Has anyone had any experience with this tire pressure monitoring system I like it because it also gives tire temperatures, which from my old over the road days, I consider just as important as pressure. It is a little cheaper than the others too. I am considering ordering it for my eight tire motorhome.

I just saw this today TB, didn't mean to ignore you. We (and PressurePro) prefer metal stems to prevent flexing of the stem. There have been no problems that I'm aware of but metal is just better all around. I would recommend anybody purchasing new tires to change to metal stems regardless of whether or not they are installing a TPMS.

No problem...we have used the PPros on the rubber stems that can with the unit so far without any problems, but will switch to metal when we replace the tires... So far we have been very pleased with the PPros, and feel they ass a new dimension of safety and peace of mind on the road. We do watch the tires and cold pressure very carefully and check the tires (and lug bolt torque) before every trip...and is part of our "getting ready" routine.
