New wheels for a '92?

I have read the wheel replacement threads, etc. I am still confused.

I would love to get some alloy wheels on our '92 to replace the originals (see photo). What size would be used on this trailer? The GVWR (according to charts) is 6300lb. So what rating of wheel?

Take a look at http://www.rjays.com/Wheels/hi-spec-wheels-01.htm. I think that you will find what you need there. The 15 x 6 Mod I believe should fit and be more than strong enough.

The wheels are stamped with 15x6. Here is the spare. Quite a wheel on this one!

Went down to a local tire store today and asked about replacement wheels. I had an old wheel and tire with me. I stated that I would want the same offsets. He said there would probably be no way to do that. I know my space is limited so I would not want much variance. Any idears how to make sure these will fit? What to look for?

Measure the offset, center hole diameter and bolt circle.
To measure the offset, lay the wheel on the concrete and measure up to the back (mounting) face of the wheel. Turn the wheel over and measure again. If there is no difference, then the offset is 0. If there is a difference, the offset is 1/2 of the difference. I don't remember for sure which direction is positive offset, but the wheel supplier should be able to tell you if you give them the dimensions.
The bolt circle is the diameter thru the center of the bolt holes. Just measure directly across from center of one bolt hole to the other. Since you have six bolt pattern, it is easy. Five bolt patterns are tougher.
Good measuring.
Note that the wheel I suggested has 0 offset.

Our 1990 Excella

We had the same type of wheels on our 34 ft Excella. They are the 15 X 6, with the 6 bolt. Here are the rims we replaced them with.

Good luck
