Lug nut technical details

Hi,
I upgraded my 1994 Excella 30' wheels and tires. Got 16" Sendels and Michelin LT tires (that were 3 weeks old when I bought them!).
Now my lug nuts are too short to make tightening an easy task.
So I am looking into long lug nuts. I know the head size (13/16) but I need to verify thread pitch. Anyone happen to know?
The lugs I am considering are 14x1.5" thread pitch.

Thanks!

Why not get a deep thin wall (13/16) impact socket that will fit the ID of the hole in the wheel?

https://www.amazon.com/Sunex-2626-2-.../dp/B000GTFGJK

For under $10.00 It might be worth a try.

1/2-20 . You can buy them in a couple of different lengths...I just replaced my rusty nuts a couple of days ago.

I had the same thought. My socket wouldn’t fit.

Thank you! Is this your 1995 Excella? Do you have 6 pins?

Yes, that was for my 1995 Excella. Pins? I assume you mean lugs. If so, it has 6 lugs per hub.

That only works if you can use it for emergency tire changes while traveling.

You need 1/2"- 20 threads per inch nuts not metric

I've found Amazon has the best selection. Here's a link for lug nuts that work for my 22' Sport: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

mikebyrne, you are correct. I put Sendel wheels on my 30' Excella. I didn't like my lug nuts with the chrome covers. I used them anyway but I have the lug nuts at Amazon in my wish list. $18.50 for 24 is a really great price.

I bought 24 about 2 weeks ago from an eBay vendor for $15.95 shipped.

I installed SenDel 16” T03-66655T wheels on our 2014 Classic and 15” T03-56545T wheels on our 2015 23D International Serenity. On both sets of wheels, I used McGard 24138 Chrome Cone Seat wheel locks and McGard 64010 Chrome Bulge Cone Seat Style lug nuts. These are ½” - 20 thread size.

Amazon had these.

Sorry if this was also covered but if I was replacing my lug nuts I’d go ahead and get the solid ones instead of the standard capped nuts. This may save you headaches down the road.

The McGard nuts above are solid, not plated like the factory lugs.

Simply some extra advice, buy extra lug nuts if you’re buying a complete set. The sneaky little buggers have a way of disappearing if they’re not on a leash.
