Lug Nut Cover

Hi,
I have a 2012 Airstream Classic 30 foot trailer. We are missing two lug nut covers and was wondering if anyone knows where I can buy two of them. My local dealer told me that Airstream no longer makes this type of wheel cover with lug nut covers and they can't find any in stock. Thank you.

"Lug nut covers"? As in the thin chrome shell that goes over the actual lug nut?
Replace the lug nut with a chrome solid 1/2"x20 lug nut. While you're at it, replace all of them, because eventually those thin metal covers will come off, rendering the lug nut nearly unremoveable.

You can get them at etrailer.com but why? As has been already stated, replace them all with good quality stainless steel (http://www.mcgard.com/marine/trailer...hing-lug-nuts/) and be done with the issues around the covers. Don't let the grief of a flat on a busy highway get compounded by the fact that you can not get the wheel off because one of these cheap covers failed.

FWIW, getting rid of those things and replacing them with the McGards was one of the first upgrades I made to our Ď14 FC 27FB. I really donít know why AS skimps on stuff like this.

They no longer do. They began using one piece lug nuts several years ago.

I used the ones in the above Amazon link, got them ten years ago, SFSG.

You can find less expensive options but why?
