crossreference Airstream axle part numbers to manufacturer (Dexter) part number

Hello,

I'll soon pull the wheels for new tires and to repack the bearings (my first time) on a '94 Excella 30. I think that I have the Airstream part number for the hub grease seal, but I haven't found a crossreference for a Dexter or other manufacturer's part number.

I believe they are 2.25 x 3.376 seals for pre-1997 units.

Airstream part: 680370-100 Grease Seal 12” brake #027001

Can anyone advise me?

What was the answer?

Also, a call or email to Dexter might have solved your problem. I sent them the serial number of my axle (albeit a later model). They return-emailed me a PDF of the spec sheet.

Airstream used Dexter as an axle vendor somewhere around 2005.
Airstream used Henchen from 1962 to the 2005 time frame.
There may have been a company in between for a very short time. My memory isn't that good.

If the 1994 Airstream has a Dexter axle now from replacement contacting them would be a great idea. (Or the data may be on Dexter's website) Otherwise Dexter isn't going to have much data on a 1994 Airstream.
