Are These Your Hub Caps?

Hi all
My '68 Ambassador has finally arrived in the UK and I've been giving the old girl a bit of a spruce up. I found a set of four hub caps in a cupboard, and after looking through the 1968 brochure I don't think these are right for this trailer. Any one know what they come off? I'm looking to replace them with the ones from Vintage Trailer supply which are presently out of stock Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!

I don't have a clue as to they're being original but I think they look pretty good on the Starship UK.

I don't think that hubcap is OEM for your Airstream. In that year, most of them had baby moon caps. The full-size hubcaps were configured differently, having a "+" in the middle, a'la Lincoln of the mid 1960's.

Those hubcaps ARE an original version of Airstream. I think these were included on the International models. I have them on my 1968 Sovereign.

How do they clip on the wheel? I may be interested in purchasing them if you change out to another kind.

Please let me know and thanks!

I'm surprised these are the right hub caps, but it makes sense they are. The PO kept them in a cupboard so they didn't go 'missing'.
Thanks for your comments, looks like I'm keeping them.

When the 69 trailer was redesigned, a new hub cap was designed as well. This is the one you are speaking of overlander63.

These are not OEM hubcaps either, but they have nice lines. Got them from Vintage Trailer.

I don't know about your '68- but Dad's '72 came with those hubcaps- only they were painted solid silver- no blue paint and no chrome.

I got the hubcaps for my Scotty at a hubcap junkyard nearby- I think they are Chrysler. I like partial cover caps, not full ones. Right now on my Bambi II I have two different Chevy caps...but will probably get another pair to match the Scotty. I like the looks of them.

I have to agree with the above...my '71 has the exact same hubcaps as well, but mine have the blue on it just like those.
