Any leads for a Dust Cap for '75 aluminumum 15" 6 lug?

i know people have mentioned they have them sitting around after switching axles/etc...i have been looking for over a year for this dust cap! seems no one else used a 4" diameter, I keep ordering 4" replacements and receiving 4.25 or 4.5...anyone got one of these? Or a lead on finding one? TIA

You need to measure the opening on the rim . You are correct on 4 inches but I believe your opening is smaller. Send photos of rim. You might try. http://www.prestigewheel.com/ImageP2675.asp

I have a guy here locally in Cornelius that has tons of stuff and can find stuff for unusual sizes. He is not factory trained, but a journeyman welder retired who bought an custom metal machine shop (he has some amazing presses and metal saws) who likes to work on stuff. When I needed an unusual size that no new dealers had he found one in a drawer by the back trailer office.... That kind of place.

Actually he has the big machinery and makes some amazing one off trailers for farm use, etc. PM me and I will get you his info to see what he has in his drawers in the back room...or contact me directly via pm and I will go visit him and see if we can find what you need.
Its always interesting visiting him and just takes a bit of time to sit on the stool and talk. But he does have the special "bits" we all need.

Don’t know if you’ve tried Out Of Doors Mart, but they do have the dust covers. I just checked online there. They state they are 4” diameter. I mentioned that to a friend of mine recently and he purchased several for his 1990 Excella. They fit perfectly. Check it out and let us know what you think. They are listed in the “Parts” section under the “wheels, drums, brakes, rims etc” or something like that. Good luck

I mailed you three caps- one of them was busted up pretty bad. They left Florida today to the address you provided.

Honestly, I cannot thank you enough! I called 30 businesses and yards for this. What an unexpected act of kindness.

Thanks shiny

thank you so much-those caps showed up last night and fit PERFECTLY. After ordering and trying a dozen bizarre mismatched caps, it's so nice to have the real thing! still can't get over how kind it was for you to ship those to me, thank you so very much, sir!
