I have a 1974 Airstream 31' International Sovereignty that I am restoring. I am replacing the back plate brake assembly. I cleaned bearings and greased them. I put hub back on trailer. When putting aluminum rim back on I found out the stud bolt was stripped out. What can I do? Is it the bolt or the hub? What do I replace it with?
Inspect the threads in the hub. If they are good you will need a replacement bolt.
If the threads are damaged at all get a new hub and new mounting bolts.

Do you have a pic of your lug nuts. I have a set of five hole aluminum wheels for my 72 Sovereign and need to figure out what type lug nut I need. I have the acorn style and the old steel type with a shaft that goes on the wheel stud.
