15" Wheel

Hello, I'm new here. This summer we bought a 1960 24' Tradewind, and I'm looking for a wheel, to be my spare wheel. 15"x6x5.5, six lug, with clips for hubcaps. I will try to post a photo of the current wheels on the trailer, as I'm looking for the same. I'm also looking for three baby moon hubcaps to go on the wheels.
Thanks
Guy

Welcome to the forums.
You can get replacement wheels from most any Airstream dealer, or Inland RV. Most will be the correct wheel, but will lack the clips.

Thanks Terry.
I did some research before posting, and noticed that Inland RV has the wheels without the clips, but I'm interested in finding the wheel with the clips if possible.
Someone out there should have one.
Thanks again.

Try Stockton Wheel in Stockton, CA. They have been making wheels for over 100 years. If they don't have it in stock, perhaps they can make one up for you. Custom Wheels - Stockton Wheel Service

Another option.......

Try Massey's Accessory Shop, 1319 S. Robinson Ave., Oklahoma City, OK
73109, 405-239-2010. Sheila usually answers the phone.

Most baby moons anymore cannot be mounted on a wheel because they are very thin and light. If you smack one w/ the heel of your hand, it will dent it.

The ones Sheila sells are not as heavy as in the old days but are way sturdier than most of the other ones out there. I like mine just fine!! She sells some killer 2" stainless steel beauty rings, too.

The new wheels have little bumps on the mounting surface of the wheel instead of the spring things. She might have a line on those old style ones but I don't know for sure. If you're using it for a spare it will either be hidden somewhere or out on the tongue--go ahead and mount a moon on the spare and you're set.

Hey there - if you can wait a bit, I can help you out. PM me for details.. but I do have two non-split rims with clips from my 64 TW on right now.... I just don't have the new tires yet for the new rims that I have to replace them.

If you need a back up plan, try Low Cost Trailer Supplies. They sell OEM 15" wheels that fit our Tradewinds as well as 16" wheels. No clips for baby moons though, but they do sell a dome shaped hubcap that is a reasonable replacement.

Congrats on your 1960 Tradewind! They are awesome little trailers.
