Hensley makes a fine piece of equipment. With proper installation, there is every reason to think you will be happy with a Hensley Arrow Hitch Apparatus.

Out of curiosity, why are you giving up on Hensley's competition?

Congratulations! I am certain you won't regret the change. If they offer you a deal on the Hensley TruControl brake controller at the same time, give it serious consideration. We have been very happy with ours (see http://www.airforums.com/forums/f439...ler-36497.html ).

2air,
yes- excellent thread... been going through it... thanks for all the info! i've been researching this topic for some time now, and i have to say, your posts were a big reason i'm going with the arrow. will post pic

Tom,
while the equalizer brand is much better than my previous reese WD and friction sway- its hard to say how much of that improvement was trailer... even still, i was never able to configure the equalizer brand to my WD liking...

Thanks Robert! Brand new arrow. Cold Honey Brown. Nice.

Tim,
i changed out my prodigy for a P3... my a/s manual states the prodigy is compatible.... while the prodigy manual says it is not electric/hydraulic compatible...

Thanks for the kind words, guys. It's been feeling a little hostile around here lately. Hensley Mfg. is a small company of people who truly believe in our product and are alway looking for ways to improve our chosen lifestyle (yes, most of us are trailer owners). We're past the turbulent early years of the company and I suspect we'll be around for a long time.

I love the photo of the Arrow with the beer on it. Maybe I'll put it in an ad.\

Cheers!

Thumbs up Hensley Arrow

Good day Ron.. With so many inadequate and weak connections out there on our roads many of us encourage you and your organization to continue your efforts to put more Hensleys on the highways.

Congrats FinalcutJ.. Stepping up to the plate will no doubt get you the home run. Let us know how the tow goes in the Spring.

Ron, please don't take small critique of paint to be hostility. We love our HA having switched to it when we moved to our Airstream. As stated on another thread we only wish the HA looked as good as the painted hitch of our AS. As others have stated, function is primary and we certainly have no complaint there. Best regards.

No, I hear you guys. I was an engineer for Ford until last year. I had no say in any decision in that company. Here, I do have the ability to make changes. And it's an industry I love. RVing is a part of my life and I hope the industry gets through these tough years and goes on forever.

There's big changes in the works at Hensley. All good. Paint is just one of them. We've got two manufacturing facilities of our own and the manpower to get innovative. Look out for some really cool products in the future!

Hi Ron,

That’s true. You haven’t been exploiting the Arrow’s potential as a tailgating accessory.

Hey, wait a minute!!! I happen to like my Orange Hensley Arrow. The Hensley works great, and it's the orange color that makes cool.

Hey, there you go! We'll ad a cupholder. Then all you have to do after a few hours of awning time is aim for the orange. It's a safety feauture. Keeps you from spilling your beer.

she's on!
removed equalizer (not much, just 'L' bracket mounts), installed Arrow, test drive, adjustments, another test drive... 6 hrs later... could not be happier

let me preface what I'm about to say with this: I swapped out my OEM receiver with a class V, and the equal-i-zer was a 1200/12000 model... so it would not be fair to compare the two...
with that said,
there is NO COMPARISON
tracking
porpoising
weight transfer (actually I've not been to the CAT, but judging by the measurments, I'll wager I'm getting excellent WD)
and of course,
sway control

Has there ever been a verified case of somebody trading their Arrow to something else?
