Towing Hitches
On August 4,2003 we totaled our airstream, we was passing a hay truck, when the back of our suburban got about even with the cab of truck, there was a different sound and the trailer want to go strong to the left, tried the trailer brakes twice no action, the ride was on. traveling 3200 rpm in third gear, was able to keep the suburban from turning over. Had dual cam reeces hitch. The ball turn 90 degrees to the left, broke loose from 12000 Lb hitche. We don't know if the sound was the ball braking away from the hitch or what. Nobody got hurt, Did total another trailer being pulled by min-van. Has anyone every see ball brake away from the hitch.
